My name is Laure, I am a Canadian born and raised in Cameroon. I speak 5 languages and have lived on three continents. Growing up I intended to become a lawyer.  I met the love of my life during my Master's program. We moved to Italy where he lived and I learned Italian. When we moved to Canada in 2001, I discovered a passion for teaching during my time at Boston Scientific Entreprises teaching French to adults.

I returned to school and obtained my Bachelor’s of Education in 2003. I have been a member of the College of Teachers since 2003. Since then I have been employed by YRDSB as a French Immersion teacher.

My philosophy: When I started my teaching career, I realized how much students need extra support, and how difficult it was for their parents to get that support from qualified professionals. After a couple of years I started offering tutoring services.  Ten years ago I created the Sephora French Centre. The name Sephora is in honor of my mother who was an amazing educator.

Since then, I have supported countless children, helping build their confidence, supporting them with homework, projects…
